POSITION SUMMARY
Banning Engineering is seeking a Water / Wastewater Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize water and wastewater projects according to deadline and within budget. The role coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants and manages resources to deliver projects according to plan. Our water resources team partners with growing communities across central Indiana to design environmental infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, and stormwater systems.
This role suits a licensed professional who wants to grow a meaningful practice within a local, employee-owned firm serving local communities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, execute, and revise project work plans as needs and requirements change.
Identify the resources needed for each project and assign individual responsibilities.
Provide technical oversight for water resources programs, projects, and deliverables.
Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope and enforce project standards.
Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Manage the project budget and report results to firm leadership as directed.
Analyze project profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization on an ongoing basis, no less than monthly and at project completion.
Manage project scope and modify pricing and agreements as applicable when scope changes.
Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.
Hold regular status meetings with the project team and communicate relevant information to leadership.
Resolve or escalate issues in a timely manner, communicating sensitive information tactfully.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field.
Indiana State licensure.
Three to five years of experience in water resources project management.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
