The San Diego County Water Authority a recognized leader in water reliability serving 22 member agencies and 3.3 million residents invites experienced construction professionals to apply for the role of Senior Construction Inspector. This advanced, journeylevel role is critical to ensuring the quality, safety, and longterm performance of major public works and watersystem construction projects.
About the Position
As a Senior Construction Inspector, you will independently perform the most complex and technically demanding inspection responsibilities within the Construction Inspector series. You will:
· Inspect a wide range of water conveyance and facility construction activities, including pipelines, valves, structural concrete, mechanical systems, welds, coatings, earthwork, and grading
· Interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents to verify full compliance
· Identify field issues, coordinate solutions with engineers, contractors, and permitting agencies
· Review contractor submittals, calculate quantities, and assist with resolving construction conflicts
· Prepare clear, detailed inspection reports
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lowerlevel inspection staff
This role requires excellent technical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to serve as a key onsite resource during project delivery.

· Brings extensive experience in publicworks or civilinfrastructure construction
· Possesses knowledge of water conveyance systems and inspection techniques
