Water Utility Management was established in 1970. The primary purpose of the company is to design, permit, construct, operate and acquire water and wastewater systems in Southeast Georgia. The company presently serves over 26,000 household in 14 counties.
The company is experiencing rapid growth. It has added 10,000 households in the last five years primarily through acquisition.
The company is well positioned to continue its program of consolidated water and wastewater services throughout Southeast Georgia.
Company History
Water Utility Management designs, permits, installs, operates and acquires water and wastewater systems in Southeast Georgia. It was originally organized as South Atlantic Utilities, a Sub S corporation, in 1970. It was founded by Mr. Thomas A. Smith Jr. a World War II veteran and Georgia Tech graduate and Mr. Tommy Miller.
