Company Overview
Located in the south-central region of Oregon and bordering northern California, Klamath Falls sits on the southern shore of the Upper Klamath Lake, nestled in the Klamath Basin on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains. Klamath Falls enjoys nearly 300 days of sunshine each year. The City of Klamath Falls has an urban population of 42,000 with approximately half of those living in the City limits.
Steeped in history and tradition, the area offers an outstanding array of natural and cultural wonders. Just sixty miles south of Crater Lake, and seventy miles north of Mt. Shasta, southern Oregon is unsurpassed for beauty and diversity of activities. Klamath Falls offers a variety of outdoor recreation such as cross-country skiing, biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, hunting and kayaking. It also offers a plethora of arts and culture which include international touring acts, theater and a wide variety of live music.
Local traditions include Sentry Eagle (public air show), Kruise of Klamath (celebration of classic cars), Kinetic Challenge, 3rd Thursdays (downtown block party), and so much more!
Klamath Falls is the proud home of Oregon Institute of Technology, Klamath Community College, Sky Lakes Medical Center, and Kingsley Field USAF (home of the 173rd Fighter Wing).
The City of Klamath Falls provides essential services and infrastructure to promote the social and economic health of the community. The role of the City Council is to provide the leadership necessary to fulfill this mission.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
This is an exciting time to join our staff. The City is constructing approximately $100 million in upgrades to the wastewater plant. We are in discussion with our neighboring utility for ways to partner and save taxpayer dollars while we continue to meet the ever-increasing demand and regulations.
